Ticks can bite
at any time
of year

Ticks cannot fly or jump.
Due to climate change, ticks can bite at any time of year, but they are much more active in spring and summer until late autumn.
They cannot fly or jump, so they settle at the tops of plants and wait for a host, which they can detect thanks to their ability to perceive heat or the carbon dioxide produced by the
body.
Ticks can bite anywhere on the body, but they tend to prefer certain areas such as the back of the neck, armpits, groin, and the area behind the ears.
